McAndrews, Held & Malloy Named Among “Top Laws Firms in the PTAB”

CHICAGO – July 28, 2015 – McAndrews, Held & Malloy, a leading intellectual property law firm, was listed in Docket Navigator’s “Year in Review 2014” as one of the “top law firms in the Patent Trial and Appeal Board” (PTAB). In addition, four McAndrews attorneys were listed as “top attorneys in the PTAB.”
The list of law firms or corporate legal departments was measured by the number of inter partes reviews (IPRs) and covered business method review proceedings in 2014 in which the law firm or in-house attorney represented one of the litigants. Out of 100 firms listed, McAndrews was ranked 11th. In 2014, McAndrews represented clients in 62 IPRs and covered business method patent review proceedings, while one of the largest general practice law firms in the world handled 65 proceedings.
In addition, McAndrews attorneys Thomas J. Wimbiscus, Scott P. McBride, Christopher Scharff and Herbert D. Hart III were listed as top attorneys who regularly litigate cases before the PTAB.
