Patent Bootcamp: Three McAndrews Attorneys to Train Attendees on Patent Drafting, Prosecution, and Litigation

Date: May 5, 2017 || McAndrews News

McAndrews, Held & Malloy shareholders Sharon A. Hwang, Christopher P. Singer, Ph.D., and George Wheeler will lead small-group sessions at this year’s Patent Fundamentals Bootcamp, May 9-11, in Chicago, hosted by the Practising Law Institute. Wheeler will also present a lecture entitled, “Claim Drafting 2017.”

The event, which is designed for patent attorneys, patent agents, technical advisors, and patent liaisons, will feature lectures each morning followed by small-group sessions that allow for one-on-one time with experienced patent prosecutors. Daily lectures will provide a review of the patent preparation and prosecution process and explain how to:

  • Prepare a patent application that satisfies the statutory requirements for patentability;
  • Prosecute an application to obtain allowance of an enforceable patent;
  • Use reissues, reexamination supplemental examinations, inter partes review, post-grant review and other post-issuance proceedings;
  • Anticipate patent litigation issues during the patent prosecution process; and more.
