Professional Experience
During his time at McAndrews, Held & Malloy, Jeb has assisted clients in a variety of technological areas with (1) prosecution and acquisition of patent and trademark rights, (2) patent, trademark and copyright litigation, (3) due diligence analysis and opinions, and (4) licensing and agreements.

Jeb graduated magna cum laude from University of Minnesota Law School. In law school, he excelled in courses related to Intellectual Property law and remained involved in the Student Intellectual Property Law Association.  He also served as Student Director of the Intellectual Property Law Moot Court.  As part of this position, Jeb represented his school in the AIPLA Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court Competition where he was presented an award for “Best Advocate.”  Jeb also received the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association scholarship, made the Dean’s List several semesters and received the highest grade in his Professional Responsibility class.

Prior to law school, Jeb worked for International Business Machines (IBM) in Rochester, Minnesota as a Computer Engineer, specializing in logic and circuit design.  At IBM, Jeb designed, tested and optimized a central partition in a cutting-edge server microchip that synced memory commands across multiple server motherboards. He also participated in the invention of a memory controller component—patent filed and pending.

Jeb received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (second major: Computer Science) from the University of Wisconsin—Madison, graduating with honors and making the Dean’s List every semester.  He completed extensive coursework in areas such as logic, circuit and processor design; computer programming, data structures and algorithms; as well as signals and digital systems.  He gained lab experience as well, designing and testing circuits.  Jeb was also elected to a number of honor societies including Tau Beta PI and Eta Kappa Nu.
