On October 6, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. central, Chris Carani will moderate a virtual AIPPI World Congress panel session entitled “Designs for Medical Devices and Supplies – From Procurement to Enforcement.”
In the wake of the world-wide battle royale between consumer tech titans Apple and Samsung, design rights have continued to capture the attention of designers and companies around world. The panel is made up of hand-picked, knowledgeable design law practitioners including:
- Crystal Chen (Tsai, Lee & Chen, Taiwan)
- Alexis Simpson (Gilead Sciences, U.S.)
- Philipe Kutschke (Bardehle Pagenberg, Germany)
- Sa’ar Alon (Reinhold Cohn, Israel)
Carani will also moderate a virtual roundtable session titled “Should the term of protection for unexamined design registrations be shorter?” on October 7 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. central.
