McAndrews Elects New Partner, Phil Ruben

Phil Ruben focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and prosecution for a wide range of mechanical and electrical technologies. Ruben also concentrates on the protection of design rights, including drafting and prosecuting design patent applications, design-arounds, counseling clients on design patent portfolios, and conducting infringement/invalidity opinion work and due diligence investigations. Ruben has deep experience in pre-suit investigations, motion practice, and discovery for numerous types of matters, including inter partes reviews.

Illinois Super Lawyers has named Ruben a Rising Star. He graduated summa cum laude from DePaul University College of Law, where he was the President of the Intellectual Property Law Society and an active member of the Appellate Moot Court Society. In addition, he served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Amy J. St. Eve of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
