Gene Volchenko focuses on intellectual property litigation and transactional matters. He has experience in pre-suit investigations and assessment, motion practice, and advanced legal research.

Gene graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was the Treasurer of the Intellectual Property Law Society, and an Associate Editor of the college’s Journal of Intellectual Property. He also volunteered at Chicago-Kent’s Patent Hub. Gene gained experience in court proceedings and judicial opinion drafting as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Patricia O’Brien Sheahan at the Circuit Court of Cook County-Law Division.

Prior to law school, Gene worked as an R&D Intern on a simplified EEG device at Baxter International Inc. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering in 2019. Before engineering school, Gene was a Staff Sergeant in the Armored Forces branch of the Israel Defense Forces.
