BTI Consulting Group (BTI) recently announced that general counsel and in-house litigation counsel placed McAndrews, Held & Malloy in the top 10 percent of all law firms for IP litigation. McAndrews is one of the IP litigation firms that BTI categorized as “The Law Firms Clients Most Want on Their Side.”

BTI assessed more than 160 law firms, including many of the world’s largest global law firms, in many practice areas.  BTI’s report draws on the more than 4,000 interviews with corporate counsel it has completed over the past 14 years.  Specifically, BTI’s report was compiled with additional direct and recent client feedback from approximately 300 independent, in-depth interviews conducted by BTI with corporate counsel at some of the world’s largest companies. The full report, in addition to changes, trends and opportunities for law firms, can be found in the BTI Litigation Outlook 2015 publication.

McAndrews repeated recognition over the years as a leader in IP litigation arises from the foundation on which the firm was built on more than 25 years ago – a deep bench of trial attorneys having both degrees in science and engineering from top academic institutions and acumen for their clients’ businesses. These trial attorneys have an acute understanding of technology and law in each complex IP dispute they are involved with – from highly complex ANDA/Biologics litigation to post-grant litigation at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board to litigation at U.S. International Trade Commission – and all IP litigation in between.

And, while best known for their record of litigation successes, McAndrews also has recognized practices in: IP procurement; patent interferences; trademark oppositions and cancellations; IP/technology opinions and investigations; global portfolio management, development and licensing; M&A support; due diligence; design rights; and joint ventures, among others. McAndrews’s continued success gives it the pleasure of serving clients that include multinational corporations, Fortune 500 companies, startups and world-renowned universities.

Earlier this year, McAndrews was featured on the National Law Journals 2014 “Intellectual Property Hot List,” an exclusive list of law firms across the country considered leaders on the latest trends in intellectual property law.
