McAndrews Welcomes Associate Christopher Tuinenga to the Firm

Chris Tuinenga’s practice focuses on patent prosecution in the chemical and life sciences industries.

Having joined McAndrews from another firm, Chris received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law. While in law school, he was Executive Associate Editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property and a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society. He also represented Chicago-Kent in the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office’s National Patent Application Drafting Competition and the Thomas Tang Moot Court competition.

Prior to law school, Chris held postdoctoral research positions at the U.S. Army Research Laboratories in Aberdeen, Maryland, and at the University of Notre Dame Radiation Research Laboratory, where he researched the emissive properties of doped nanocrystals. He holds a Ph.D. in chemistry that he received from Kansas State University.
