Christopher Santone is a Design Patent Agent at McAndrews focusing on design patent matters. He has over a decade of experience as an industrial designer. As the first individual to pass the USPTO Design Patent Bar exam, Christopher’s unique background positions him as an exceptional resource for helping clients identify protectable assets and navigate the design patent process.

His experience spans concept development, product innovation, digital manufacturing, and intellectual property strategy, making him an invaluable resource for clients seeking to protect their designs.

Before joining McAndrews, Christopher served as Director of Industrial Design at ATLASON Studio, where he led a multidisciplinary team in creating innovative products for companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Under his leadership, the studio earned the prestigious 2023 Cooper Hewitt National Product Design Award, recognizing its significant contributions to design excellence.

During his career, Christopher has designed and developed more than 100 consumer products across diverse industries ranging from furniture to electronics. He is listed as a co-inventor on 17 design patents and one utility patent, giving him a rare perspective on the intersection of creativity and IP protection.

Christopher graduated with honors with a B.S. in Industrial Design, where he was a repeat guest lecturer.
