Raj Chiplunkar is a Shareholder at McAndrews whose practice includes all areas of intellectual property law with a focus on patent litigation and post-grant proceedings. Raj came to the firm from another IP boutique. While there, Raj was involved in all aspects of IP law, including patent litigation, patent procurement, and licensing. He has considerable experience with a wide range of technologies, including memory systems, wireless systems and protocols, computer hardware and software, and medical devices.

Raj graduated cum laude from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago. While attending law school, he worked for an IP boutique in Chicago as a Technical Specialist, where he assisted with patent procurement for a semiconductor device manufacturer and a process control corporation.

Before entering law school, Raj worked as an engineer for over 11 years with Motorola. There, he designed wireless infrastructure equipment. In addition to his law degree, Raj has an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Shivaji University, India.
