Since joining McAndrews, Held & Malloy in 1996, Jonathan Sick has developed a broad range of experience in freedom to operate analyses, intellectual property due diligence, patent portfolio management, patent post grant proceedings and trademark practice.  With respect to patent matters, Jonathan has considerable expertise in advising and representing clients in the chemical, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.

Highlights from his accomplishments over the past several years include: managing large-scale freedom to operate and opinion programs in the life sciences and chemical industries; working closely with European counsel to achieve successful outcomes in numerous opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office; and successfully representing clients in post grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
