Dorien J. Clark AssociateDorien Clark is an Associate at McAndrews, focusing on litigating and prosecuting both patents and trademarks, trade secrets litigation, pharmaceutical (ANDA) litigation, and transactional matters such as M&A due diligence and freedom-to-operate matters. Dorien has provided intellectual property services to a wide variety of clients in industries including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, home appliances, and general manufacturing. Dorien also works with various businesses to help build intellectual property portfolios and settle disputes. Dorien graduated first in his class and summa cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law, where he was a part of the inaugural class of the Dean’s Leadership Academy and served as lead articles editor for the Review of Intellectual Property Law. During his time in law school, Dorien received five Cali Awards for receiving the highest grade in his class and also received the 2020 AIPLA Past Presidents Award, highlighting excellence in the field of intellectual property law. Prior to law school, Dorien attended the University of Cincinnati and received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, with a minor in Chemistry, gaining valuable co-op experience in manufacturing as well as research and development.
