Michael’s litigation practice spans all major forums, including U.S. district courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). He has successfully represented clients in high-stakes patent disputes and matters involving medical devices, automotive components, and advanced electronics, frequently managing multi-patent cases.

He is particularly experienced in the medical device and automotive sectors, where he has led IP due diligence and freedom-to-operate analyses for high-value product launches, acquisitions, and investments. His deep knowledge of technologies such as implantable devices, surgical tools, vehicle sensor systems, and powertrain control electronics allows him to assess IP risk and value with precision. Michael regularly partners with in-house counsel, engineers, and business executives to develop IP strategies that align with commercial objectives.

In addition to his litigation and diligence work, Michael maintains an active prosecution practice, having drafted and prosecuted over 250 patent applications. His technical expertise spans automotive systems and components, aerospace systems, drones, battery management systems, software and hardware, and wireless communications.
