Sandra Frantzen Honored As a Recipient of The 2023 Chicago Bar Association Vanguard Award

McAndrews is pleased to announce that shareholder Sandra Frantzen has received the 2023 Chicago Bar Association Vanguard Award. The Vanguard Awards honor “individuals and institutions who have made the law and legal profession more accessible to and reflective of the community at large.”
Sandra is a shareholder at McAndrews, Held & Malloy where she specializes in IP and technology litigation and client counseling particularly in the medical device, pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnology industries. In addition to her role at the firm, Sandra serves on the Board of Directors, and was the past President, of the Arab American Bar Association of Illinois (AABAR) and is a founding Steering Committee member of the National Arab American Bar Association. During her AABAR presidency, AABAR became active in the Alliance of Bar Associations for Judicial Evaluations, and Sandra now co-chairs AABAR’s Judicial Evaluation Committee. Sandra received the Building Bridges award in a joint endeavor between the Decalogue Society and AABAR.
Sandra has also served the community through pro bono work, including representing Arab women asylum seekers.
