Thomas Kunnasery AssociateThomas Kunnasery focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and patent prosecution, drawing from his mechanical engineering background when helping clients navigate complex technical issues. Thomas earned his J.D., cum laude, from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was a Fellow of the Chicago Intellectual Property Colloquium. While in law school, he gained hands-on experience through externships and associate positions at leading law firms and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Thomas has worked on patent litigation matters involving mechanical and biomedical devices, conducting expert discovery, drafting opinion outlines and court orders, and preparing responses to patent office actions. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where his senior design team developed an electric retrofit for an agricultural harvesting cart. EDUCATION
