Andrew B. Karp ShareholderSince joining McAndrews in 2002, Andrew’s practice has encompassed patent procurement, IPRs, litigation, opinions, due diligence, and appellate practice. His matters span a wide range of technologies with particular focus on the electrical and computer arts, including cellular and wireless technologies (CDMA, WiFi, 3G, 4G, LTE), DSL, image sensors, semiconductor fabrication, image processing, memory, digital and analog circuit design, LED and OLED technologies, RFID, processor architecture, encryption, anti-spyware, medical imaging, air purification, optics, and vehicle electrical systems. Prior to becoming an attorney, Andrew worked for a decade as an electrical engineer. He developed and designed products (both software and hardware) such as lighting controls, distributed operating systems, embedded systems, networked devices, home appliances, capacitive sensors, and vehicle sound systems. Andrew enjoys all aspects of patent procurement, including preparation, prosecution, and management. He oversees diverse portfolios and enjoys working with inventors.
