Brian P. Lynch Ph.D., Patent AgentBrian P. Lynch, Ph.D., is a Patent Agent at McAndrews with deep experience preparing and prosecuting utility and design patent applications. Prior to joining McAndrews, Brian spent over 15 years at boutique intellectual property law firms, where he assisted a variety of clients in the agricultural, battery, chemical, pharmaceutical, shipping, and telematics industries. He also has experience supporting all stages of patent litigation. Brian earned his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Purdue University where his thesis research focused on imaging blood cells with a combination of dielectrophoresis and atomic force microscopy. Brian also researched naked mole rats at the University of Connecticut and studied aromatic compounds of conifers at Colorado College, where he received his undergraduate degree. After obtaining his Ph.D., Brian worked as a chemist at a biotech start-up company developing a canine heartworm test that utilized interferometric analysis of label-free immunoassays. EDUCATION
