Rami Moussa is a Shareholder at McAndrews. He focuses his practice on strategic patent portfolio development, with an emphasis on patent prosecution. In assisting clients in developing patent portfolios, Rami has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications, mainly before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office but also in foreign jurisdictions. His work focuses on fields including communication systems and technologies, computer hardware and software, video and audio processing, cryptography, medical imaging, welding, rechargeable batteries, and other power-storage technologies.

Rami joined the firm in 2007 as a Technology Specialist and became an Associate in 2009 after graduating from DePaul University College of Law. Prior to joining McAndrews, Rami worked at Motorola as a software engineer. There, Rami was engaged in a wide range of projects encompassing many of Motorola’s cellular infrastructure systems and test tools, primarily developing software solutions for several standard-based (3GPP) features and functionalities. As a software engineer, Rami’s experience spanned many commonly used programming languages and techniques.
