Bradley ShareholderWayne’s practice includes building clients’ patent portfolios, supporting standard-essential patent (SEP) declarations, analyzing potential infringement situations, and advising clients on due diligence issues. Wayne’s practice spans patent prosecution as well as licensing and litigation, working on all aspects of technologies related to next-generation consumer electronics, wireless communications systems, media distribution, wideband systems, user equipment (UE), base stations, video codecs, image processing, network protocols, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, blockchains, computer security, optical communication, quantum computer architecture, and semiconductors. He has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in the United States and foreign jurisdictions such as Europe, Japan, China, Australia, Mexico, and Canada. Before joining McAndrews, Held & Malloy, Wayne was an electrical engineer specializing in physical layer architecture and modem development. During his 15-year engineering career, Wayne worked on a variety of technologies, including WLAN, 1G, 2G, and 3G. He also has extensive software and hardware design experience, including experience with simulation tools, VHDL, and digital signal processor (DSP) systems. Wayne is a prolific inventor and his inventive activities as an engineer have resulted in 12 issued U.S. patents and numerous foreign patents.
