Ryan J. Pianetto represents clients in many aspects of intellectual property law, including patent and trademark litigation, patent and trademark preparation and prosecution, freedom to operate, and intellectual property due diligence and transactions. Ryan has counseled clients of various sizes ranging from individual inventors to Fortune 500 companies on diverse technologies, including medical and surgical devices, a wide array of mechanical systems and devices, and electromechanical devices.
Chad K. Stroud, Ph.D. focuses on patent prosecution and patent and trademark litigation, and has extensive experience providing patent validity, freedom to operate and patent infringement analyses. Before studying law, Chad received a Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he won awards in patent law and IP moot court.
Michael S. Tomsa has a hands-on approach to patent matters that leverages knowledge gained from his academic training as an electrical engineer, five years of experience as a patent agent and technical adviser, and the prosecution of more than 100 patent applications. Michael has broad experience in the aerospace, electronics, and medical device industries, and his patent work has included medical devices, drones, spacecraft, battery charger systems, computer software and hardware and cell phones. He has counseled clients ranging from solo inventors to Fortune 500 companies on all aspects of prosecuting and protecting patents.
