Manuela Cabal PartnerManuela Cabal is a Partner at McAndrews whose practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and prosecution. She has experience with pre-suit investigation and assessment, motion practice, and discovery for cases in a variety of areas; particularly in the medical devices, biomedical, and biotechnology industries. She also has experience drafting and prosecuting trademark applications and in both utility and design patent applications. Manuela graduated summa cum laude from Valparaiso University Law School, where she served as an Associate Editor for the Valparaiso University Law Review and as a judicial extern for The Honorable Rebecca R. Pallmeyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. During law school, Manuela received the Monsanto Scholarship for Commitment to and Excellence in Intellectual Property Law, as well as the highest grade in more than ten of her classes, including Intellectual Property Law and Legal Research and Writing. Prior to law school, Manuela earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, summa cum laude, from the Indiana Institute of Technology. While at the Indiana Institute of Technology, Manuela served as the Bard Life Science Laboratory Lab Technician and was a top scorer for the Women’s Varsity Soccer Team.
