Alexander M. Vogler PartnerAlex Vogler is a Partner at McAndrews, where he focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation. Alex has experience in all aspects of litigation, from the initial drafting and filing of a complaint through trial and post-trial briefing. For example, Alex has been involved in discovery and discovery disputes, has taken multiple fact and expert depositions, and has substantial experience in drafting motions and briefing for all phases of litigation, including summary judgment and claim construction. He also has extensive experience with pre-suit investigation and assessment, drafting license agreements, due diligence investigations, and inter partes reviews. While Alex has worked with a wide variety of clients and technologies, he primarily serves clients in the medical device industry. For his work in intellectual property law, Alex has been included in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch. Alex graduated with honors from the University of Chicago Law School. During law school, Alex was awarded the Leonard G. Nierman Scholarship, which is given to an outstanding student who exhibits interest in a career in patent law, and the Ruth Wyatt Rosenson Scholarship, awarded based on scholarship, moral integrity, and indications of a promising future. Prior to law school, Alex graduated with high honors from Purdue University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. While at Purdue, Alex spent his summers interning at McAndrews and his winters refereeing youth basketball games. EDUCATION
