Patrick J. Arnold Jr. ShareholderPatrick J. Arnold Jr. is a Shareholder and has been practicing intellectual property law at McAndrews since he graduated from law school in 1990. While his practice has concentrated on patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, he also assists clients in prosecution, counseling, and licensing. Pat has been lead trial counsel on many lawsuits and has extensive experience with all pretrial, trial, and post-trial activities in the federal courts. He has tried cases to both judgment and jury verdict in Federal court and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. He has also handled full evidentiary and partial-evidentiary preliminary injunction hearings and arguments before the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. Pat’s background in physics enables him to work on a wide variety of intellectual property matters. He represents clients that range from one of the world’s leading manufacturers of motorized wheelchairs to one of the world’s leading television programmers. Pat’s patent practice involves diverse areas of technology, ranging from complicated materials handling systems, automated chemical additive systems, and mail sorting systems to the anatomy of a horse’s foot. His copyright and trademark practice has included several cases relating to grey market goods, along with cases relating to widely popular figurines, novelty motion lamps, and product designs for awnings for recreational vehicles.
